Urgent Care Pet Clinic is San Diego’s after-hours urgent care veterinarian for dogs and cats. Our licensed emergency doctors and RVTs treat non-life-threatening but urgent problems—so your pet is seen quickly without the long ER wait. We’re open 5–11 PM (call center 9 AM–11 PM, closed Sun) and serve families across San Diego, La Jolla, Clairemont, Mission Valley, and nearby communities.
What we treat: vomiting/diarrhea, wounds and lacerations, limping or pain, ear/eye infections, allergic reactions, heat stress, urinary issues, coughing/difficulty breathing (stable), minor fractures, and more. With on-site diagnostics (digital X-ray, lab testing, ultrasound access) and transparent estimates, we deliver fast, compassionate care and clear next steps.

How We Help
When you contact us, a trained team member performs a quick triage of your pet’s symptoms and advises whether to come in now or book a same-day urgent visit. Walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours; completing our online intake form speeds check-in.
We stabilize your pet and prioritize comfort.
An emergency veterinarian performs a full exam and, if needed, same day in-house tests (bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, cytology) so you get tests results within a few hours, not days.
We review findings, discuss options, and provide a clear, written estimate before treatment.
Most pets go home the same night with medications and home-care instructions. If overnight ICU is required, we coordinate a smooth transfer to a 24-hour hospital and update your primary care veterinarian.
When your pet needs immediate care, we're equipped to handle it. We offer same-day laceration repairs, exploratory surgeries, and full patient hospitalization — so your pet gets the level of care they need, right when they need it.

Emergency Vet Visit
Phone us or head straight to our after-hours animal hospital in San Diego. A triage nurse will log your pet’s symptoms so we’re ready the moment you arrive.
Exam & Diagnostics
Upon check-in, our urgent-care veterinarians perform a quick physical exam and—when needed—on-site digital X-rays, ultrasound or in-house lab work to pinpoint the problem fast.
Clear Discharge Plan
We stabilize your dog or cat with pain control, fluid therapy or minor surgery, then review a written at-home care plan and follow-up options with your primary vet. Most patients are treated and back home the same evening.

Dr. Vidhya Pandi
Dr. Pandi has been practicing small animal and emergency medicine for over 20 years. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor’s in Animal physiology and continued her Veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. She started Urgent Care Pet Clinic with one goal: to make emergency care less scary and more compassionate (for both pets andtheir humans). She considers it a privilege to be surrounded by dogs and cats everyday. She lives in San Diego with her husband who is allergic to dogs and cats, her two children and her highly intelligent dog, Pixie.

Dr. Sarah Roberts
Dr. Roberts is a Southern California native who always dreamed of being a veterinarian. She graduated with a degree in biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and continued on to veterinary school at the University of Tennessee. After graduation, Dr. Roberts completed multiple internships that took her from Nashville to San Diego to Minnesota, eventually settling back in sunny San Diego. Dr. Roberts has a special interest in internal medicine and oncology cases, but she is here for all of your pet’s urgent care needs. When not in the clinic, Dr. Roberts can be found playing fetch with her border collie mix, Riley, or giving belly rubs and snacks to her golden retriever, Presley.

The best urgent care! Even though we came pretty late at night, everyone was very kind, helpful and acted fast when we told them that our cat- Archer might be having a urinary blockage. Let me just start by saying this place is amazing! I first brought her because she was peeing every 5 seconds and when I took her to another vet they said it was a urinary infection. She continued that day not being herself so I brought her here. By the symptoms they knew what it was but they did X-rays and blood work to make sure and they confirmed it was pyometra which is puss in her uterus. It was a Saturday night and even though it was closed on Sunday, Dr. Pandi came for the surgery...Read More...

The vet treated him as though he were her own dog, and they all made a very stressful evening much less stressful with their support and treatment.
